Spring 2001 Comrags Collection
by Joyce Gunhouse & Judy Cornish
The migrant worker was our inspiration for Spring 2001. For generations, men, woman and families from every country and culture have traveled to find work picking seasonal crops. They wore what they could carry. Our imagination was unlimited in its possibilities. We were able to mix looks from the thirties, fifties and seventies. The clothes could be shrunken or stretched; children's or grandparent's; pretty or plain. Our migrant worker has a careless, even reckless, sense of style.
